The New Earth is an expression used in the Book of Isaiah ( & ), 2 Peter, and the Book of Revelation in the Bible to describe the final state of redeemed humanity.
It is one of the central doctrines of Christian eschatology and is referred to in the Nicene Creed as the world to come. The creation of the new heavens and new earth brings the promise that God “will wipe every tear from their eyes” (Revelation ).
This event comes after the tribulation, after the Lord’s second coming, after the millennial kingdom, after the final rebellion, after the final judgment of Satan, and after the Great White Throne Judgment. Winner of the Word Guild Award for best book in Biblical Studies ().
